Export WhatsApp Web chats, contacts, and groups to CSV, XLSX, or JSON.

WhatsApp Export is the Web Tidy data export workspace for WhatsApp Web. The current popup exposes three export tabs: Chats, Contacts, and Groups.

Quick start

  1. Open WhatsApp Web and make sure you are signed in.
  2. Open the Web Tidy popup and choose Export.
  3. Pick Chats, Contacts, or Groups.
  4. Choose the scope, filters, fields, and format.
  5. Export and review the file before using it in another tool.

What it does

WhatsApp Export prepares local files from the current WhatsApp Web session. It does not claim account control, password access, cloud backup, CRM sync, or message sending.

Chats export

The Chats tab supports selected chats, date range, safe or fast mode, maximum messages per chat, field selection, and CSV/XLSX/JSON output.

Available chat columns include chat name, chat ID, time, sender, sender ID, message type, message text, and whether the row has media. Media export itself is not enabled in the current chat export options.

Contacts export

The Contacts tab supports all contacts or chat-list source, all accounts or business-only filters, country-code filters, WhatsApp labels, field groups, and CSV/XLSX/JSON output.

Available contact columns include country code, country, phone number, public display name, saved name, whether it is a saved contact, business flag, blocked flag, labels, last message, last message date, last message time, and source.

Groups export

The Groups tab supports selected groups, all members or unsaved-only range, exclude-admins option, field selection, and CSV/XLSX/JSON output.

Available group columns include country code, country, phone number, public display name, saved name, notify name, group name, admin flag, super-admin flag, saved-contact flag, business flag, and blocked flag.

Troubleshooting

  • If the popup says WhatsApp context is missing, open web.whatsapp.com in the active tab and refresh.
  • If chats or groups are empty, confirm WhatsApp Web has loaded the list you want to export.
  • If a field is blank, it may not be available in the current WhatsApp Web runtime or visible account context.
